Washing machines are equipped with motors that help rotate the laundry compartments inside the machine. The motor always contains electromagnets.

A washing machine is a household appliance used to clean textiles. Generally, three connections are required: one for current, another for fresh water and a third for waste water. The base frequencies are alternating electric and magnetic fields at 50 Hz respectively. 60 Hz is mainly caused by the motor responsible for rotating the washing drum. Unlike hybrid machines that use natural gas to heat the water, purely electric machines emit additional magnetic fields.

Magnetic copper wire is commonly used for gaskets, and solid enamel is used in radios, audio coils, transformers, chokes, speaker field coils, shortwave coils, tuners and transmitters, and for repairs to engines, generators and power.
