What are the different types of aluminum cables?
The Aluminum Cable product line includes many variants. Suppliers and manufacturers can offer single core and multi-core with rubber or PUR jacketing. All orders can be shipped by drum or ring to anywhere in the world. In addition, customers can purchase our 4- or 5-core aluminum power cable sets with pre-terminated CEE plugs available.

What is Al/XLPE/PVC cable?
AL/XLPE/PVC cables are aluminum conductor/cross-linked polyethylene insulated/polyvinyl chloride sheathed power cables for power cables laid in buildings, ducts, tunnels, underground and directly buried underwater. It is used for laying in indoor, tunnel and pipe. Can withstand mechanical external forces, but can not withstand large tensile forces. Single-core cables are not allowed to be laid in magnetic pipes.

What are single-core cables?
These single-core cables are designed for the distribution of electricity with a rated voltage of 230/400kV. They are mainly suitable for installation in power supply stations, indoors and in cable ducts, outdoors, underground and under water, as well as for installation in cable bridges in industry, switchboards and power stations.

Aluminum single-core wind power cables are used in wind turbine installations to transmit the power generated by the wind turbines to the distribution or power grid. These cables are designed to withstand the harsh environmental conditions commonly found in wind farms, including exposure to sun, wind, humidity and temperature changes.

Below are some of the key features and considerations associated with aluminum single core wind power cables:
Material: Aluminum is commonly used as a conductor material for wind power cables due to its excellent electrical conductivity, light weight, and cost effectiveness. Aluminum conductors are typically insulated and protected with multiple layers to ensure electrical performance and mechanical durability.

Single-core design: Wind power cables are often manufactured as single-core cables, meaning that they have a single conductor within the cable insulation. This design helps to reduce power loss and simplify the installation process.

Cross-sectional area: The cross-sectional area of the aluminum conductor determines the current-carrying capacity of the cable. Larger wind turbines with higher power ratings often require cables with a larger cross-sectional area to handle the increased current.

Insulation and protection: The aluminum conductors in wind power cables are insulated to prevent leakage and short circuits. The insulation materials used may vary, but are usually designed to withstand the operating temperatures and environmental conditions encountered in wind turbine installations. In addition, wind power cables may have additional layers to protect against abrasion, UV radiation and moisture.

Voltage rating: The voltage rating of wind power cables depends on the specific requirements of the wind turbine installation. Wind farms can have different voltage ratings and the cables must be rated accordingly to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Standards and certifications: Wind power cables should comply with relevant industry standards and regulations to ensure quality, safety and performance. Examples of applicable standards include those developed by organizations such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and regional regulatory bodies.
